We surveyed the attendees of the CAMA Gospel Brunch in Harlem and wanted to share some of the feedback we received from the folks who came to experience a truly different networking and fellowship event first-hand.  Here’s what some of the attendees had to say:

The pianist and bass guitarist, Spirit of Love singers and featured singer Helen Slade were sincerely worshipping our Lord Jesus. They weren’t just entertaining us–they were worshipping with us, and ushering us, who would go, into God’s throne room of grace. This is what should set us apart as Christians, even as Christian business-people looking to enhance our businesses, we need to first be seeking to honor and follow Jesus. This CAMA Brunch was my favorite so far – the setting was amazing – you could feel the history – credit to John for doing an awesome job of keeping the place up. The food was great, the music was compelling and overall, I loved it. The only glitch was the transportation back – the Dominican Day parade made the accommodations on the 1 Train cozy for a bit. – Wade Tonkin

Thanks to all who came.  We also got some great feedback on ways we can improve networking at the event as well as some great suggestions on how to enhance the Christian impact of the event that we’ll be looking to put into play in the next event in Las Vegas.  It looks like we’ll be doing the House of Blues Gospel Brunch again, but with some tweaks -  ticket sales will start in late November, so stay tuned.

NOTE: You DO NOT need to be a Christian to attend. This event is open to people of all faiths who want to have a good time, eat some awesome food, and hear some Gospel tunes that will have you dancing in the aisles or on the stage.

P.S. Please note, there are two changes to our event this time…first, you will need to purchase your subway fare separately. (It’s very reasonable, and we’ll be heading over in a group, so you won’t have to ride alone.) Transportation has always been a problem with folks needing to come and go based on their own schedules. Since we’re not booking the transportation this time, the tickets are FAR cheaper than ever before! Second, there is no open bar…mostly because no one ever really used it, so we dropped it to make the tickets even less expensive!

We’re really excited to announce the time and location for this year’s CAMA Gospel Brunch at Affiliate Summit East in New York.  We’ll be gathering in Fellowship at the historic Cotton Club on 125th Street in Harlem for another awesome time of great food, great music and inspired networking and fellowship on Sunday morning at 9:00 am.

We’ll open with a quick program with sponsor messages then have plenty of time for relaxed networking and an awesome soul-food inspired Brunch Buffet.   We’ll then enjoy some great Gospel music from the Cotton Club Gospel Ensemble featuring Helen Slade.  This show gets great reviews and we know you’ll have your toes tappin’ and hands clappin’ and will kick off Affiliate Summit East filled with the Holy Spirit.

We’re committed to making this event affordable for all who want to attend, so we’re lowering ticket prices from our past events.     We’ve increased the capacity of the event with room for up to 100 attendees.

If you are sad to be missing church because you are at Affiliate Summit, come out and join us and get your Gospel on!   It’s a great time for people from all backgrounds and denominations and we’d love to see you there.

Tickets will go on sale Monday morning the 8th of June and we always sell out – so buy early if you can.

I am really excited to announce catv that in the coming weeks, we’ll be making some changes to the CAMA site in preparation for some huge plans we have for CAMA in 2009. We’ll be re-skinning things to give a new look and feel and adding some features including affiliate and merchant memberships, member content, and possibly a discussion board to allow for us to really join in community and ease communications.

50 Affiliate Summit attendees answered the bell this Sunday for the 3rd Annual CAMA Gospel Brunch. The fellowship was relaxed and awesome. I really enjoy the vibe that is developing and I think it is helped by the solid core of repeat attendees we have. No one gives or gets a hard pitch on any projects and I think this is enjoyed by all.

The food was amazing and the band was the best that we’ve seen yet- there were a few people videoing and I am sure they will show up – I took a bit and will post later.

We had a first this time – a walk up sponsor for the event. Will post a bit more on that later.
